Mocktails: Our "Sober January" favorites!

Stay committed to your HealthStyle with these Tasty Mocktails!

Girls.. Just… Wanna… Have… Fun (you know that song by Cyndi Lauper and sorry we know that will now play in your head all day long!)... So many of us have chosen to clean up our HealthStyle this January by saying  goodbye to alcohol, but we still wanna have fun.

The hardest part of cleaning up our HealthStyle is having to say NO to things we love.  Let’s face it, it is depressing when you want to enjoy an adult beverage of choice after a long week and then you realize that you have made a commitment to yourself to clean it up. But see, that’s the thing with choosing to adjust your life the HealthStyle way, you don’t want to create behaviors that leave you feeling deprived, like a diet. First, they feel icky.  Second, you know it is not sustainable. Lastly, you likely will not enjoy the experience.  We want to make sure the changes you make are manageable, fun and sustainable.  So, as you re-think that New Year’s resolution make sure you have committed to an adjustment or new habit that will be with you a year from now. So, if quitting alcohol is not sustainable forever, adjust that commitment to “I will clean it up for thirty days and then transition into just one night a weekend of enjoying an adult beverage”. This you can do and feel good about. So, as you enjoy your commitments to your health, have fun and be part of the fun!

We love to try a new mocktail each night we go out or as a replacement for that glass of wine while we make dinner.  And it is a great way to bring in some extra nutrients as well- think vitamins and minerals with those fruit and vegetable juices.
