Triple Chocolate, Almond Butter and Banana Smoothie

Sometimes only the most intense choclate will tame that wild craving.  Enjoy Sage's healthy version of a chocolate milk shake.

Serves 2

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 3 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or kefir
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk- from the can
  • 2 frozen banana's
  • 2 heaping teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa nibs
  • 2 tbsp dark (80% or higher) chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)
  • 4 ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add all liquid to blender, then add almond butter, yogurt, bananas, seeds, nibs, chocolate chips and powders.  Blend for 1 minute.  Add ice cubes and blend for another 1-2 minutes until thick and creamy.  Enjoy!
