Almond Milk Morning Elixir
This elixir is a great way to eliminate caffeine and to start your day full of wellness. This recipe is adapted from Meghan Tepler's UnDiet Cookbook. (page 56 Uncoffee)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbs Dandy Blend
- 1 tbs Cacoa powder
- 1 ½ tsp Ghee
Coconut Whip Cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cans coconut milk- full fat
- 2 Tbsp organic cane sugar or honey or maple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add all ingredients (except topping) into a blender- blend well- will be a little frothy
- Warm up in pan or in the microwave
- Topped with coconut whip cream for a healthy bit of sweetness and more healthy fat
Coco Whip
- Refrigerate the coconut milk overnight
- Open coconut milk and spoon out the hardened milk fat- place in bowl
- Add vanilla and sweetener and mix with hand mixer for three minutes.
- Store chilled
